Acerca del evento

Join us for MLK Fest 2026 on Saturday, January 17 and Monday, January 19. Check in at 4000 Gus Young Ave in Baton Rouge and get ready to make a real difference in the neighborhood. We’ll be working from 22nd Street to N Foster Dr and from North Street to Choctaw Dr, helping care for homes and public spaces.

Volunteers will help brighten elder homes, bring murals to life, and cheer on younger participants as they create a Living Gallery for garden and neighborhood signs. It’s hands-on, creative, and meaningful work you can see and feel.

Anyone who signs up ahead of time will be given priority for their shift. Walk ups are welcome but will be placed only if spots are open. Groups are strongly encouraged to sign up individually so we can keep things running smooth.

We’ll wrap up Monday at noon with a Block Party and resource…
