Earth Day Colorado

Grow Aurora
Earth Day 2026

Rooted in Youth. Powered by Community.

Aurora is growing. The question is whether we grow together.

This spring, The Walls Project is bringing students, families, and neighbors together to expand school gardens, activate public spaces, and invest in youth leadership across our community. What begins with a tree planting or a mural grows into something larger, building confidence in young people, strengthening neighborhood pride, and fostering a lasting sense of belonging.

If you care about Aurora’s future, we invite you to be part of it.

Why Earth Day Programming Matters

When students arrive early for before-school programming and step into a garden they helped plant, something shifts. They are not just attending school; they are contributing to their environment. When families gather on Earth Day to plant fruit trees and unveil student-designed artwork, they are not just volunteering; they are investing in a shared future.

We believe Aurora’s public spaces should reflect the strength, creativity, and potential of the people who live here. That belief becomes real through steady work, community partnerships, and the support of neighbors who choose to show up.

This is not a one-day event. It is a commitment to long-term transformation.

Join Us for Earth Day

Earth Day is more than a celebration. It is the culmination of three weeks of coordinated environmental activation across Aurora.

For three weeks, students, educators, families, and volunteers will expand school gardens and food forests, prepare soil and plant trees, create public art, and strengthen shared spaces across multiple campuses and neighborhoods. What becomes visible on Earth Day is the result of sustained effort, youth leadership, and community stewardship already in motion.

Students will help lead plantings and garden construction. Families will gather around spaces that have been transformed through weeks of preparation and collaboration. Community members will stand beside murals and landscapes designed and built by local youth.

When you participate, you are not just attending an event; you are investing in lasting infrastructure, environmental literacy, and a model for how neighborhoods grow stronger over time.

Support the Work

Transformation requires participation, and it requires investment.

Your gift directly supports youth leadership programming, garden expansion, and the activation of public spaces that strengthen Aurora’s neighborhoods. A contribution of $50 helps supply materials for student programming. A gift of $150 supports the planting and care of a tree. A commitment of $500 or more sponsors youth-led community activation efforts. Larger investments help expand entire garden sites and sustain programming throughout the year.

If you have a Donor-Advised Fund, you can recommend a grant to support this work and help accelerate the impact in 2026.

When you give, you are not funding an event. You are building momentum for Aurora’s future.

For Leaders and Long-Term Investors

We are also building a circle of civic and philanthropic leaders who believe Aurora deserves sustained, strategic investment. If you are interested in deeper involvement — whether through advisory participation, corporate sponsorship, or long-term philanthropic partnership — we welcome a conversation.

Aurora’s growth will be shaped by those who choose to guide it.
