Tech Recycling and Exploration: Earth Day BR 2025

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, The Walls Project brought the community together for a vibrant and impactful Earth Day celebration at the Baton Roots Community Farm at BREC’s Howell Park. From tech recycling to nature exploration, the day was filled with meaningful action and learning for all ages.

One of the major wins of the day? In collaboration with CACRC, over 300 pounds of old tech were responsibly recycled, helping to reduce e-waste and protect our environment. Thanks to community members who showed up and cleaned out their closets, we gave new life to old devices in a sustainable way.

An interactive scavenger hunt was also in full effect! There were 15 excited explorers who joined our iNaturalist Nature Scavenger Hunt, using image-recognition tools to identify pollinators, fungi, colorful plants, and more across the farm. It was a hands-on lesson in biodiversity and the power of observation.

In addition to all the wonderful things Futures Fund had going on for Earth Day, we also were lucky enough to have 15 students from our Culture Club programming get their hands in the soil and their minds on sustainability, participating in activities that connected food justice, environmental action, and cultural identity.

Together, we celebrated Earth, community, and creativity, one action at a time. The Tech aspects of this event were made possible through Capital One, Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, CACRC, Louisiana Healthcare Connections, Humana, and Giraphic Prints.

Thank you to everyone who came out, contributed, and made Earth Day 2025 a success at Baton Roots!

Escorts Vasant Kunj Service afford one the kind of privacy and secrecy that is tricky to come by elsewhere. They can be perfect accompaniments for romantic dinner dates when absolute anonymity is required, or when some more intimate private moments call for it.
