ReActivate Dallas' Legacy Mixer 2025

The ReActivate Dallas’ Legacy Mixer at the African American Museum of Dallas was an inspiring evening dedicated to celebrating heritage, leadership, and innovation within the South Dallas community. The event honored the enduring contributions of Dr. Harry Robinson, whose lifelong commitment to preserving African American history has significantly influenced Dallas’s cultural landscape. Additionally, presented by Dr. Dulaney, Mr. Jerry Hawkins received the 2025 Dr. Harry Robinson Legacy Award for his unwavering advocacy for racial equity and community empowerment.

Beyond honoring the past, the event underscored the importance of embracing future advancements, especially in technology. Delexia White a Dallas based tech professional emphasized the necessity of including Black voices in emerging fields like AI, fintech, and graphic design entrepreneurship, highlighting the mixer as a catalyst for action and progress.

Attendees, ranging from community leaders and creatives to tech professionals and visionaries, were encouraged to connect, celebrate legacy, and actively shape the future of Black-led innovation. The evening was a powerful reminder of the importance of honoring heritage while investing in a dynamic, inclusive future.

The night ended with encouragement to continue the mission in the upcoming year and reconvene next Juneteenth.
