Little Art Swap: Sharing Creativity & Community
One person's extras can be another person's next great find! On October 25, The Walls Project hosted a Little Art Swap at our office, bringing together a collection of vintage housewares, craft supplies, and other unique items for the community to take home.
We were excited to welcome 50 people and raise over $150 during the event! From vintage finds to supplies ready for a new creative project, the giveaway was a chance to discover something new, give useful items a second life, and connect with others in the community.
What Is the Little Art Library?

The Little Art Library (LAL) is a free community resource where anyone can pick up or donate art supplies, craft materials, and other creative items. Similar to a Little Free Library, it operates on a simple idea: take what you need and share what you can.
Located outside The Walls Project's office in downtown Baton Rouge, the Little Art Library helps make creativity more accessible by giving donated materials a new purpose. Whether you're an experienced artist, a student, or someone looking to try a new hobby, there's always the possibility of finding something that sparks your next project.
Events like the Little Art Swap build on that same mission by keeping useful materials circulating, reducing waste, and bringing people together through creativity.
We're grateful to everyone who stopped by, contributed, and helped make the event a success!
