Futures Fund Tech Academy: Hack-a-thon Training Event

This free event will be hosted on Saturday, March 11 at Southern University. Free lunch is included for registered participants. At this event, youth aged 12-18 are able to gain the skills to compete in the Hack-A-Thon happening in our upcoming JOLTcon event on April 22. The winners of JOLTcon’s Hack-A-Thon will receive a grand prize. Participants will receive training in teamwork and communication, but other hard skills such as:  Skills include:

• How to create an idea and write a pitch
• Using Canva for creating a brand and marketing
• Project Management for bringing an idea to life in a team
• Mock websites or app designs to show a concept in a tangible way
